Food Tours Terms & Conditions

  • Waiver and Release of Claims: By participating in the tours conducted by Mid East Eats, I have read and understood the Company’s Waiver and Release Claim
  • COVID Safety Precautions: Participant fully comprehends and accepts all of the risks associated with his/her participation in the Tours including exposure to COVID-19.
  1. Public food tours will be limited to 4 people maximum.
  2. Private tours will be limited to 10 people from the same friends/family group. 
  3. Tour guides and guests must wear face masks. If you don't bring one, guides will provide you with one.
  4. Masks may only be removed for eating and drinking.
  5. Guides will provide hand sanitizer before and after every food tasting.
  6. Guides will serve food and drink samples in compostable, single-use containers.
  7. Guides will wear compostable gloves while serving food to guests.
  • Checking In: You must review all booking details that are emailed to you after you book the tour. Please meet your guide and check in at the first location.
  • Arriving Late: Please note that tour guides are not allowed to wait for guests who arrive late. Please make sure to make the necessary arrangements to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the tour. You can meet us at the next scheduled venue in the itinerary that was emailed to you. We are on a schedule with all the venues we visit. Also, note that we are not able to take your phone calls if you are running late as we are not allowed to interrupt the tour guide.
  • Weather Conditions: We conduct tours rain or shine, including hot weather. If you have purchased a ticket and decided you do not want to continue with the tour, you will not be reimbursed for the ticket price. You are responsible for yourself and your own safety.
  • Public Tour Cancellations: If for any reason you have to reschedule or cannot come please let us know 48 hours before the tour. We will provide a full refund or reschedule your tour; which is subject to availability.  If cancellation or a reschedule request is made within less than 48 hours of the tour, we cannot provide refunds, as all of the foods are pre-paid and your space is guaranteed at the tour. 
  • Private Tour Cancellations: If you have to reschedule or cancel the tour, please let us know within more than 48 hours before the tour. Payments minus the 25% non-refundable deposit will be refunded if cancellation notice occurs within more than 48 hours of the tour. If cancellation is made within less than 48 hours of the tour, deposit and tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, as all of the foods are pre-paid and your space is guaranteed at the tour. No refunds are given for Purchasers guest no-shows or cancellations.
  • Mid East Eats Cancellation: If we are forced to cancel our food tours, the full ticket price will be refunded back to your account. 
  • Dietary restrictions: In some cases, we are able to accommodate food allergies or restrictions. Please note: you are responsible for letting Mid East Eats know at the time of purchase or in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If a substitution is not available for that particular tasting item, you agree that you acknowledge and understand and that it is your personal consent to try them or not. Please refer to Waiver and Release of Claims that you must accept during the ticket purchasing process.
  • Liability: Mid East Eats is not responsible for the foods or beverages consumed on its tours.  Mid East Eats acts solely as agent in arranging tours, venue visits, and other services and does not assume liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default of any company, organization or person engaged in transporting passengers, rendering service, or carrying out arrangements for any tour or by the act of default of any restaurant or shop or its employees. Please refer to the Waiver and Release of Claims that you must accept during the ticket purchasing process.
  • Right to Distribute Media: You agree to grant the Company an irrevocable royalty-free worldwide license to use photos and videos taken on its food tours in which you may appear. The Company has the right to reproduce, distribute, broadcast, exhibit, edit, digitize or in any other way use the Material by any means and in any form of media, whether existing now or created later, without restriction worldwide, by incorporating the Material into its website, catalogues, books, brochures, magazines or any other publications, or any informational, commercial, promotional or advertising material (henceforth known collectively as the “Works”). You agree that the company is and shall be the exclusive owner of all title, rights, and interest in the Material and the Works, including copyright thereof.

Cooking Class Terms & Conditions

  • Checking In: You must review all booking details that are emailed to you after you book the class. Please join the Zoom Video Chat with the meeting ID and password sent to you in the email 15-30 minutes prior to the class time.
  • Arriving Late: Please note that the class cannot wait for your arrival if you are late. We ask you to join the meeting early so you can contact us if you require assistance. Once the class begins, we will not be able to answer the phone. If you arrive late, you will not receive a refund and cannot reschedule the class.
  • Public Class Cancellations: If for any reason you have to reschedule or cannot attend the online class, please let us know 48 hours before the class begins. We will provide a full refund or reschedule your tour; which is subject to availability.  If cancellation or a reschedule request is made within less than 48 hours of the tour, we cannot provide refunds.
  • Private Lesson Cancellations: If you have to reschedule or cancel the class, please let us know within more than 48 hours before the tour. Payments minus the 25% non-refundable deposit will be refunded if cancellation notice occurs within more than 48 hours of the tour. If cancellation is made within less than 48 hours of the tour, deposit and tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, due to cancellation of public classes for your private lesson. No refunds are given for purchasers guest no-shows or cancellations.
  • Mid East Eats Cancellation: If we are forced to cancel our cooking classes, the full ticket price will be refunded back to your account.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

These Mid East Eats Gift Certificate Terms and Conditions (" GC Terms and Conditions") are in addition to the Terms and Privacy Policy applicable to the Website. These GC Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between Mid East Eats and you as the purchaser or user of gift certificates (“Gift Certificates”) from the Website. If you do not agree to these GC Terms and Conditions, you should not purchase Gift Certificates through the Website.

Purchasing and Redemption:

  1. By purchasing Gift Certificates on the Website, you agree to these GC Terms and Conditions as well as the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on the Website.
  2. You further certify and represent to Mid East Eats that the activities in connection with which the Gift Certificates will be used will comply with these GC Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and that the Gift Cards will not be used in any manner that is misleading, deceptive, unfair, or otherwise harmful to consumers or Mid East Eats,  including its investors, officers, employees, agents, servants, assignees, subsidiaries, or any other Mid East Eats -related entity.
  3. If the Gift Certificate is purchased for an individual other than you, the recipient of the Gift Certificate shall be notified via email at the email address you provide during the purchase.
  4. Personal information that you provide in connection with the purchase or redemption of Gift Certificates will be governed by the Mid East Eats Privacy Policy.
  5. Gift Certificates may only be redeemed toward the purchase of eligible products on the Website. Redemption of Gift Certificates on the Website is subject to change in Mid East Eats sole discretion. Purchases are deducted from the Gift Certificate balance. If an order exceeds the amount of the Gift Certificate, the balance must be paid with a credit card or other payment method accepted by Mid East Eats.
  6. Gift Certificates never expire.

Use and Limitations:

  1. Gift Certificates may only be purchased and redeemed by persons residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and may only be used on the Website (www.mideasteats.com). Gift Certificates cannot be used to purchase other Gift Certificates.
  2. Gift Certificates cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash, or applied to any other account, except to the extent required by law. Unused Gift Certificate balances may not be transferred.
  3. Gift Certificates are not returnable or refundable for cash except in states where required by law.
  4. Gift Certificates may not be sold or bartered to third parties.
  5. Gift Certificates may be used as personal or business gifts, but may not be used in connection with any marketing, advertising, or other promotional activities (including without limitation via websites, Internet advertisements, email, telemarketing, direct mail, newspaper and magazine advertisements, and radio and television broadcasts) unless you obtain Mid East Eats prior written approval.
  6. Use of Mid East Eats name, logo, trade dress (including any image/likeness of the Gift Certificates) or trademarks (or those of any of its subsidiaries or affiliates) in connection with the purchase or use of Mid East Eats Gift Certificates is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, the use of Mid East Eats Gift Cards in any manner that states or implies that any person, website, business, product, or service is endorsed or sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with, Mid East Eats or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates is prohibited.

Risk of Loss: If your Gift Certificate is lost or stolen, immediately contact customer service at marhaba@mideasteats.com. Your Gift Certificate will be cancelled and after an internal investigation, we will issue a new Gift Certificate with the remaining balance, if any. Lost or stolen Gift Certificates cannot be replaced without the original confirmation email sent to the email account provided to Mid East Eats. Mid East Eats and its affiliates shall have no liability to you for lost or stolen Gift Certificates.

Notwithstanding the above, the risk of loss and title for Gift Certificates pass to the purchaser upon our electronic transmission to the purchaser, recipient, or delivery to the carrier, whichever is first and/or applicable. We are not responsible if a Gift Certificate is lost, stolen, destroyed, or used without your permission.

Fraud: If a fraudulently obtained Gift Certificate is redeemed and/or used to make purchases on the Website or any of its affiliated websites set forth above Mid East Eats shall immediately suspend the Gift Certificate and may recoup the amount of the Gift Certificate by charging the amount from the Credit or Debit Card supplied. Mid East Eats has a zero-tolerance Fraud policy.

Limitation of Liability: Mid East Eats AND ITS AFFILIATES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO GIFT CERTIFICATES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN THE EVENT A GIFT CARD CODE IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, UNLESS SUCH NON-FUNCTIONALITY IS DUE TO THE GIFT CERTIFICATE BEING FULLY REDEEMED, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH GIFT CERTIFICATE CODE. CERTAIN STATE LAWS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES. IF THESE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU, AND YOU MIGHT HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

Indemnification: You agree to defend, release, indemnify and hold harmless Mid East Eats and its subsidiaries, affiliates, its investors, officers, employees, agents, servants, assignees, and/or any other Mid East Eats-related entity from and against any claims, expenses, or liabilities made against or incurred by any of them in connection with your use of the Gift Certificates or your violation of any of these GC Terms and Conditions.

Amendments: Mid East Eats reserves the right to change or modify these GC Terms and Conditions (“Modified Terms”) from time to time in its sole discretion. Such Modified Terms shall be posted on the Website and shall be binding on all purchases of Gift Certificate that occur after the Modified Terms take effect. All terms and conditions contained in these GC Terms and Conditions are applicable to the extent permitted by law.

  • If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions: We will send you an ingredient list with alternative options.

By participating in a tour, you are doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK! We are not responsible for any injury on our tours. Please review our Waiver and Release of Claims.
